Secured By Design

Part of the Police Crime Prevention Initiative, Secured by Design (SBD) is the official police security initiative that works to improve the security of buildings and their immediate surroundings to provide safe places to live, work, shop and visit. Membership recognises that products not only have been tested to relevant security standards but also fully certified by an independent third-party certification body accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

At the moment Watchtower is the only camera mast with an Secured by Design accreditation in the UK.

Secure Connected Device accreditation

In 2022, SBD introduced the ‘Secure Connected Device’ (SCD) accreditation scheme in-line with government legislation for companies providing Internet of Things (IoT) connected products. This recognition from Secured by Design, the official police security initiative owned by the UK Police Service, underscores our commitment to providing secure, reliable IoT-connected products. Alongside our IASME IoT Cyber Assurance Level 1 and Level 2 accreditations, this new certification assures our clients and business partners of the highest standards in information and data security.

IASME IoT Cyber Assurance – Level 1 & 2

With the IASME IoT Cyber Assurance – Level 1 certification and the Level 2 audit, we demonstrate to clients and business partners that we manage information and data securely. Based in the UK, IASME work alongside a network of expert organisations across the world to help advise and certify organisations of all sizes in both cyber security and counter fraud. IASME is committed to helping businesses improve their cyber security, risk management and good governance through an effective and accessible range of certifications.

Constructionline (Gold Member)

The construction sector has an important role to play in supporting local economies, and many organisations have a desire to work with local suppliers to support the communities in which they operate. Verification checks for all suppliers on the platform are carried out, so procurement teams can be sure that they are working with approved and accredited partners. Ensuring that suppliers operate to appropriate health and safety standards is crucial within the construction sector. Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme – RISQS

RISQS is a badge of quality and a way to confirm you’ve passed independent assessment. Assessment by an independent industry scheme means buyers can use the RISQS platform to demonstrate compliance with UK and EU procurement regulations and other requirements. This gives buyers and suppliers a comprehensive view of the supply chain.
